All new issuances require a written exam. You must also provide all required documentation to begin this process. State Certified birth certificate, or Valid US Passport. Social Security card or provide the number. ALL certified Name change documents, such as Certified Marriage certificates, court orders etc. And (2) different proofs of Idaho Residency, such as utility bills, bank statements, proof of Idaho auto insurance, etc. (If you are needing to test please see testing details)

Our County Driver's License Office now requires appointments for all Driver's License, Identification Cards, Permits, Testing, and all services our office offers. For ALL Concealed Weapons Permits, you will need to call in to make an appointment.

The Motor Vehicles (DMV) does not require appointments at this time.

I arrived early to DMV due to last minute schedule change at work. Trista saw me as soon as she had opportunity, actually working both stations at the same time. My needs were pretty simple, just finishing up after passing my CDL driving tests. She was very pleasant to work with even though the office was very busy.
